Public Awareness
Public Awareness is responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive public awareness plan, including: the statewide toll-free referral line; outreach to communities, and material development.  Public awareness includes activities which are designed to communicate information to the community, through a variety of media (e.g. radio and television public service announcements, newspaper and advertisements, and marketing materials).
Child find* is a component of Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) (View the Federal Law for Child Find), implemented in Michigan as Project Find Michigan, which requires states to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities, from birth to 26 years of age, who are in need of special education services.

The Office of Innovative Projects at Clinton County Regional Educational Service Agency (CCRESA) is pleased to offer Public Awareness to assist Michigan in meeting the child find requirements for Project Find.
