Family and Child

Family Support Network

Parents who have successfully adapted to their children's disabilities or special health care needs, are the best support for other parents of children with special needs.

The Family Support Network of Michigan (FSN) is organized into local chapters in which trained "support parents" recognize the concerns of the families in their communities. They provide information and referrals to families, enabling them to access community resources to enrich the lives of children with special needs. FSN is funded through the Michigan Department of Community Health.
